Blue Max — Limited Edition 1977 (Canada, Hard Rock)

A hard rock trio from Amherst, Nova Scotia, formed in 1973. At the time of their first professional gig in 1974, guitarist/vocalist Robert Graves and drummer George Douglas were both 15 years old, and bassist Andrew Douglas was only 12. They played school dance halls mostly on weekends, as they were still in school. Soon, the guys felt the need to create their own album. In 1976, during the school Christmas break, they traveled to Halifax, where they recorded "Limited Edition," released by Solar Records. The album's title corresponded to the 1,000-copy pressing. The band enjoyed regional success for the next two years, but after several years together, they all felt the need for a change. Blue Max disbanded, and everyone went their separate ways.
