Human rights groups and migrant rights advocates held a protest in front of Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City on Monday, Jan. 12, to condemn the alleged illegal detention of Filipino-American activist Chantal Anicoche by the armed forces.
She was reportedly apprehended during an alleged encounter between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the New People’s Army in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, on January 1. (via Santi San Juan | MB)
