Trio serenades Cebu City street passers
Amid the hustle and bustle of Colon, the country's oldest street in Cebu City, three young singers are making people stop in their tracks with their music. Nikki Frias, 22; Mae Gravines, 20; and Rio Lyn Tuhay, 20, perform as the 'Trio de Gagmay,' delighting passersby with Filipino favorites like 'Pusong Ligaw,' and 'Maybe This Time.' The three singers were once competitors in various singing contests but decided to join forces. For them, busking is more than earning tips—it is a way to practice, stay connected to their craft, and share their love of music with anyone who passes by.
