Watch this clip where a peaceful hike turns into a heart-stopping moment when a woman suddenly comes face-to-face with a mama bear and her cubs on a wooded trail.
Candace Kubicek from Maple Valley, USA captured the terrifying encounter after looking up mid-walk to find the bear family directly in front of her. As the mother bear began walking toward her, Candace calmly backed away while filming for over a minute, carefully creating distance. She eventually escaped unharmed when the bear paused to look around, allowing her to duck off the trail to safety.
The intense footage highlights just how quickly a routine hike can turn dangerous in bear country.
