Footage released by police has shown the moment an ultra-low emission zone (Ulez) camera exploded in south-east London as cars and a double-decker bus drove close by.The detonation on the evening of December 6 2023 was seemingly powerful enough to trigger the alarm system of a van parked on the other side of the road, emitting a bright light and sparks.Retired electrical appliances engineer Kevin Rees is on trial at Woolwich Crown Court accused of damaging the camera in Willersley Avenue, Sidcup, by using a low-sophistication, improvised explosive device (IED).
