Marcos says son's inhibition from impeachment proceedings 'very proper'
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. says the decision of his son, House of Representatives Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, to voluntarily recuse himself from discussions on his impeachment was 'very proper.' In a video released by the Presidential Communications Office on Jan. 28, 2026, the President said the inhibition ensured the impartiality and credibility of the impeachment proceedings.
