February 7 marks a historic day in Haiti’s turbulent past. Four years after the assassination of President Jovenel Moïse, the country remains gripped by violence, with criminal gangs controlling much of the capital and humanitarian concerns escalating. Today also marks the end of the Transitional Presidential Council’s term, an unelected body attempting to fill the governance vacuum.
