Watch this clip where a woman documents the painfully awkward moment she accidentally drops an expensive raw chicken from Costco in front of her neighbour’s driveway — and the chaos that followed.
Tessa Tieman from Toronto, Canada explained that she was carrying “a million bags” in from her car when the packaged chicken slipped onto the pavement. Unsure what to do and not wanting to touch it without gloves, she ran back inside — only for her neighbour, whom she rarely sees, to pull up minutes later and find his driveway blocked by the fallen groceries.
The now tarnished driveway chicken left her scrambling to figure out her next move, turning a simple grocery run into a full-blown dilemma.
Determined to recover her loss, Tessa went straight to Costco. Framing it as an expired product, she explained the situation to staff.
Though she didn’t have her Costco membership card with her, she showed the slip. The staff actually accepted the return and gave her a full refund, not just store credit, turning a chaotic grocery disaster into a happy ending.
She said: "I was carrying a million bags back from my car plus $45 worth of raw chicken and I had accidentally dropped the chicken in front of my neighbour’s driveway.
"I didn’t know what to do and had left to get gloves, meanwhile my neighbour (who I rarely ever run into) showed up 5 minutes later trying to pull into his driveway but couldn’t because my chicken was in the way.
"I then needed to figure out what to do with this tarnished, raw, driveway chicken.
"The whole thing was so ridiculous and I live documented the situation."
