The seventy‑sixth edition of the San Remo Music Festival, one of Italy’s most prominent artistic events, has begun in the city of San Remo, Liguria. The competition will run until February 28, with 34 singers participating. The festival is hosted by Carlo Conti, accompanied by renowned Italian vocalist Laura Pausini. Each night will feature different co‑hosts, including Turkish actor Can Yaman and model Irina Shayk. The winner will earn the opportunity to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest, scheduled for May in Vienna.
