Trussville has invited local medical practices Ascension (UAB /Saint Vincents) & Grandview to set up freestanding Emergency Departments in their community, the Ascension ER opened in February, 2024 at 6670 Green Dr, Trussville, AL 35173. I have had dealings with both providers as an ER patient in recent years and must STRONGLY advise (I had a misdiagnosed broken skull injury I almost died from) any person that is interested in doing business with these facilities or those who have a health matter they are tempted to have treated in these practices to go elsewhere (SEE MY OTHER 70 PLUS HOURS Of VIDEOS FOR DETAILS). Problems I had after a $300 neurologist (a multimillionaire) visit ended with me speaking to a rep for the MD who went to college 10 years to do his job giving me a false name and refusing to identify with a first and last name to protect themselves from liabilty. At the Ascension Saint Vincents ER I was misdiagnosed repeatedly and Patient Dumped.
The city of Trussville is going to run into problems with these BIG CITY medical scammers (ie: ripped off patients and wrongful death cases) that they are not going to be able to handle, The city is simply too small and does not possess the resources to regulate them.
I encountered issues of medical fraud and corruption in my dealings with medical staff and facilities around the Birmingham, Alabama area in recent years. I almost did not survive multiple misdiagnoses I encountered going into their ER and attempts to have Ascension account and correct it errors were met with denials and excuses as to their responsibility. Between 2018-2019 I was an emergency department patient at Ascension St. Vincent’s East Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. I believe I had broken my neck. I had an X-Ray, 2 CT scans and later an MRI looked at by Ascension Vincent's doctors, each time they told me I had no injuries in this area. I knew their diagnosis was in error as my condition worsened. The area became infected and infested with parasites by summer 2019. I almost died. I obtained my medical records from their hospital along with the X-Ray / CT / MRI imagery and discovered the truth of my injury. I had broken bone in the underside of my skull in the area of the condylar canal and occipital condyle (possibly my foramen magnum was also fractured). How the doctors could have missed such a large and serious injury over multiple hospital visits is inexcusable. I believe some element of organized corruption may exist in this hospital.
