Security guard dies as violence erupts between rivals of homeowners' group in Las Pinas subdivision
A feud between rival groups of a homeowners' association in a subdivision in Las Pinas City turns violent on March 4, 2026 after court-appointed sheriffs from the Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) arrived to enforce a writ of execution intended to transfer the authority over all association assets and common areas from the incumbent board, led by Euan Rex Torralballa, to the one led by Jose Deo Aguinaldo under the BF Resort Village Talon Homeowners Association Inc. (BFRVTHAI). It turned physical when security marshals and supporters of the embattled board tried to block access to the administration office. A security guard stationed at the office collapsed at the height of the melee and died. The incident, including the death of the guard, is under investigation.
