Another Threatening Severe Weather Event Approaches

The severe weather isn't over yet. This week, another wave of hazardous storms is set to impact the Central and Eastern regions of the United States. There is a risk of tornadoes, significant hail, strong winds, and heavy precipitation across the Southern Plains, Mississippi Valley, Midwest, and certain areas in the East.

Some regions were recently affected by intense storms, and now an additional 1 to 4 inches of rainfall could accumulate on already waterlogged ground. Localized flooding could pose a serious issue, particularly in areas where storms are slow-moving.

The threat will commence again on Sunday in the Carolinas and Southeast, progressing into Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi by Monday. By Tuesday and Wednesday, a more powerful system may trigger widespread severe thunderstorms stretching from the Southern Plains through the Midwest and toward the East Coast.

Stay vigilant regarding weather developments and be ready as this active weather pattern persists.
