Jagdambika Pal ने विपक्षी दलों की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने Om Birla के खिलाफ प्रस्तावित अविश्वास प्रस्ताव को आगे नहीं बढ़ाया। उन्होंने विपक्ष की गंभीरता पर सवाल उठाते हुए कहा कि यदि उनके पास पर्याप्त संख्या और आत्मविश्वास होता, तो उन्हें Lok Sabha में औपचारिक रूप से प्रस्ताव पेश करना चाहिए था। पाल ने कहा कि केवल नारेबाज़ी करना और सदन के बाहर बयान देना वास्तविक संसदीय मंशा को नहीं दर्शाता।
उनके अनुसार, विपक्ष की हिचकिचाहट से स्पष्ट होता है कि उनके बीच एकता और पर्याप्त समर्थन की कमी है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि संसदीय प्रक्रियाएं स्पीकर को चुनौती देने का स्पष्ट और लोकतांत्रिक तरीका प्रदान करती हैं, और यदि विपक्ष सरकार को जवाबदेह ठहराना चाहता है तो उसे इन्हीं नियमों का पालन करना चाहिए। पाल ने यह भी दोहराया कि सत्तारूढ़ गठबंधन संसद की गरिमा और सुचारु संचालन बनाए रखने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।
Jagdambika Pal criticized the Opposition parties for not moving forward with their proposed no-confidence motion against Om Birla. He questioned the seriousness of the Opposition, stating that if they truly had the numbers and confidence, they should have formally proceeded with the motion in the Lok Sabha. Pal argued that merely raising political slogans and making statements outside the House does not reflect genuine parliamentary intent.
According to him, the Opposition’s hesitation indicates a lack of unity and adequate support within their ranks. He added that parliamentary procedures provide a clear and democratic way to challenge the Speaker, and the Opposition should follow those rules if they wish to hold the government accountable. Pal maintained that the ruling alliance remains committed to maintaining the dignity and smooth functioning of Parliament.
