Liverpool’s Wavertree Park to host £30m underground flood water tank

United Utilities has started preparatory work for a 60-foot-deep tank to store rainwater and reduce flooding in Wavertree Park. Access will be maintained for playgrounds and community activities during construction, with completion planned for 2028.
