Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei has been announced as the new Supreme Leader of Iran (Rehbar-e-Aala) after the death of his father Ali Khamenei. The Assembly of Experts selected him as the third supreme leader of the Islamic Republic during a critical time in Middle East politics.
