Thirty-two years ago, on Judgment Day, space was torn open by rifts and monsters from another world invaded. In less than a month, the world’s population dropped by three billion. As the apocalypse arrived, people with special powers — known as “ability users” — began to appear among humanity. Thanks to them, humans were finally able to fight back against the monsters.
To stop the creatures pouring out of the portals, humanity launched a 1-in-1000 survival training game to cultivate hunters — 失落之城 (“Lost City”). A player known as “Unknown,” who held an undefeated record in the game, accidentally became a hunter in the real world, thus beginning his journey to save humanity.
