A 30-year-old woman has discovered that an IVF bungle in the1990s means that she and her twin sister are not biologically connected to the woman who gave birth to them and raised them. It is the second known case in Australia of an embryo being transferred to the wrong family during IVF treatment after a similar mix-up in Brisbane was revealed last year.
