Villblomst — Villblomst 1979 (Norway, Progressive Rock)

"Villblomst" (Wildflowers) is a little-known but charming Norwegian band. They played a simple, melodic, and laid-back progressive rock style. During their short career, they recorded a self-titled album in 1979, which turned out to be their only release, and one single, "Blitz Over Victoria / Pappas Gutter," in 1981, after which the band disbanded. Beautiful guitars, pleasant voices, and Norwegian lyrics were featured. They recorded for Briskeby Records and Ragnarock Records. The album was produced by the band members and Trond Borge; it has not yet been reissued on CD. Of the former band members, drummer, singer, songwriter, and producer Pål Søvik had the most successful career, and he has subsequently been involved in many musical projects.
