War Babies (1932) is a short comedy from the Baby Burlesks series, produced by Educational Pictures and directed by Charles Lamont.

The film stars a very young Shirley Temple in one of her earliest screen appearances. The Baby Burlesks shorts featured toddlers parodying adult films and situations, dressed in adult costumes from the waist up and diapers from the waist down.

In War Babies, the children spoof World War I melodramas, with Shirley Temple playing a cabaret singer entertaining soldiers. The film is remembered today as part of Temple’s unusual early career, before she became Hollywood’s most famous child star.
