WILD MOMENT SEA LION BITES BOARD DURING OCEAN ENCOUNTER
WITH PIX AND VID

Incredible footage shows a paddleboarder coming face-to-face with marine life, including a playful moment where a sea lion takes an interest in his board.
Bill Clements, from California, USA, captured the encounters while paddleboarding off Maui, Hawaii.
In one video, a curious sea lion can be seen nibbling on the paddleboard, surfacing beside it before briefly biting down in a cheeky interaction.
Bill began filming his experiences after a memorable dolphin encounter sparked his desire to share the magic of the ocean with others.
Over the past four years, Bill has paddled more than 6,000 miles and documented over 500 marine life encounters.
His footage also highlights the challenges of filming at sea, from balancing while paddling to protecting equipment from water damage.
He said: “The first time I saw dolphins from my paddleboard I was so excited and wanted to share that experience with my friends and family, so I went and purchased my first action camera.
“One of the reasons why I love open ocean paddling is because you never know what you’re going to see – the possibilities are endless.
“Filming wildlife from a paddle board poses its own challenges but over time and through a lot of trial and error I tweaked my filming process.
"Many times I will discover a new animal that I’ve never seen before. For example, the northern fulmar pelagic sea bird that would keep following me."
