Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has delivered a fiery verdict on Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, calling the Aditya Dhar-directed spy thriller a “cinematic disruptor” that could change Bollywood forever.
The film, starring Ranveer Singh, has already crossed ₹100 crore worldwide on its opening day, becoming one of the biggest openings in recent years.
But what really caught attention was RGV’s explosive commentary. He says the film exposes the weaknesses of formula-driven Bollywood cinema and “killed all those heroes who never bleed and never feel pain.”
According to him, the film’s raw, realistic action and psychologically layered anti-hero mark a shift away from exaggerated mass entertainers where “physics is a joke and gravity doesn’t exist.”
