तमिलनाडु में विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले फिल्म Dhurandhar 2 (The Revenge) को लेकर बड़ा विवाद खड़ा हो गया है। Madras High Court में एक याचिका दाखिल कर फिल्म के प्रदर्शन पर रोक लगाने की मांग की गई, जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया कि यह फिल्म एक खास समुदाय के खिलाफ है और इससे कानून-व्यवस्था प्रभावित हो सकती है।
