Triangle — Homonymie 1973 (France, Progressive Rock)
The band's third and final album. The group disbanded in 1974. Drummer Jean-Pierre Prévotat passed away on January 27, 2013. Guitarist Mimi Lorenzini died on December 12, 2014.Interesting non-typical prog from this French band with elements of mainstream and hard rock and beyond. Nothing amazing but in a sea of progressive albums this one was at least tries something different. Did I mention it was their last album?
A new vocalist/bassist is brought into the fold but the band's sound remains intact. In fact, this could be called a minor return to form as the writing here is more powerful & the prog tendencies are more evident. I recommend getting both the original vinyl AND remaster, as the original is in stereo & the remaster is in horribly muddy mono. The bonus cuts on the remaster are a mix of mono & stereo, so added value for Triangle fans.
