उत्तर प्रदेश की राजनीति में एक बड़ा बदलाव देखने को मिल सकता है।राज्य में विधानसभा सीटों की संख्या 403 से बढ़कर करीब 605 होने की चर्चा तेज हो गई है।यह बदलाव संभावित परिसीमन (Delimitation) प्रक्रिया के तहत हो सकता है।जनसंख्या के हिसाब से प्रतिनिधित्व को बेहतर बनाने के लिए यह कदम उठाया जा सकता है।बताया जा रहा है कि लोकसभा सीटों की संख्या भी 80 से बढ़कर 120 हो सकती है।हालांकि, 2027 के विधानसभा चुनाव पर इसका कोई असर नहीं पड़ेगायह बदलाव भविष्य में लागू होगा, संभवतः 2032 के आसपास।बढ़ती आबादी के कारण मौजूदा सीटों पर दबाव लगातार बढ़ रहा है।अगर यह फैसला लागू होता है तो यूपी की राजनीति का पूरा गणित बदल सकता है।
