A meat rendering plant in Melbourne’s west has been ordered to clean up its act after a very smelly summer. The Environment Protection Authority has recorded an eight-fold increase in the number of odour complaints from the western suburbs this summer. Locals say at times it's even forced them to take refuge indoors.
