Kopperfield — Tales Untold 1974 (USA, Hard Rock)
A band from Edwardsburg, Michigan. It was a typical day: high school kids decided to form a band. By 1971, the band was complete, and the guys headed to Chicago to conquer America. After two years of endless club and dancefloor gigs, they had enough material to record an album. Around that time, Bill Wallace left the band, and the lineup was strengthened by a new face—keyboardist and singer Paul Decker. After recording "Tales Untold," the ambitious young men wrote tracks for a second album, "Back to Bitchin'." But their good intentions were dashed by insignificant demand, a lack of popularity, and, consequently, money. Five years later, Kopperfield joined the long list of failures and disbanded. The musicians played traditional hard rock, unmarked by innovative ideas. Bassist Jerry Opdycke and vocalist Jimmy Robinson recorded a project called "Razmataz" in the 1990s.
