बिहारमधील Nitish Kumar यांच्या राज्यसभा प्रकरणावर बोलताना त्यांनी राजकीय दबावाची शक्यता व्यक्त केली. Amit Shah यांच्या असममधील घुसखोरीवरील वक्तव्यावरही त्यांनी टीका केली.
बंगालच्या राजकारणावर बोलताना Mamata Banerjee यांच्या वक्तव्याला समर्थन देत BJP च्या धोरणांवर निशाणा साधला. तेलंगणामधील hate crime कायद्याचे त्यांनी स्वागत करत देशभरात कठोर कायद्याची गरज असल्याचे सांगितले.
तसेच धार्मिक सण, संसाधनांचे वाटप आणि भारत-पाक संबंधांवरही त्यांनी संतुलित आणि स्पष्ट भूमिका मांडत शांततेचे आवाहन केले.
