Protest outside the US Supreme Court over birthright citizenship
Protesters gather outside the US Supreme Court as it considers President Donald Trump’s bid to end birthright citizenship. In an unprecedented move, the sitting president attended oral arguments. The case challenges an executive order denying automatic citizenship to children born in the US to parents in the country illegally or on temporary visas, which lower courts blocked as unconstitutional under the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.
