The Seeds — Future 1967 (USA, Psychedelic Rock)

The band's third album, "Future," was purely psychedelic. A masterpiece of production, it included, in addition to the album itself, pictures of flowers that were suggested for cutting out of paper and pasting in public places! The signature song, aptly titled "March of the Flower Children," persistently invited listeners to a dream world, to flower meadows, and even to the banks of the Nile. These new influences were reflected on "Future," clearly influenced by the Beatles' "Sgt. Pepper." Despite the lack of any major hits, the band's popularity continued unabated. At the time, The Seeds shared stages equally with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, the Byrds, Vanilla Fudge, the Doors, Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane, the Kinks, and a host of other equally renowned acts. The first single, "Can't Seem To Make You Mine," re-released that same year, barely reached the Top 40, while the new single, "A Thousands Shadows," was popular primarily on radio.
