There may be links to adaptations of Ian Fleming's James Bond in 1976 horror film Land Of The Minotaur (The Devil's Men). I thought actress Jessica Dublin in this cast may resemble Roger Moore, the second major actor to portray the famous spy character. She appeared in The Italian Connection in with Adolfo Celi, who was Emilio Largo in Thunderball.
- Donald Pleasence may be the main connection here, he played Bond villain Ernesto Blofeld in You Only Live Twice (1967).
- Christopher Lee, who acted with Peter Cushing in over 20 movies portrayed another villain, Scaramanga in The Man With The Golden Gun (1974), Moore played Bond in this.
- Previously, I mentioned 2 actresses in The Devil's Men who wear short cut shorts, which were later called "Daisy Dukes" after the fashion became attributed To The Dukes Of Hazzard actress Catherine Bach. I thought this may be an embeded future reference to actor Christopher Lee as Count Dooku in Star Wars 25+ years later. Actor Don Pedro Colley had a recurring role on The Dukes Of Hazzard & was seperately the embodiment of voodoo spirit Baron Samedi in unrelated horror film Sugar Hill (1974). Actor Geoffrey Holder played Samedi in the James Bond spy film Live And Let Die in 1973.
