A shocking hit-and-run incident has been reported from Raipur’s Ashwini Nagar area, where a drunk e-rickshaw driver allegedly rammed into a woman and a scooty rider at high speed before fleeing the scene.
According to police, the incident was captured on CCTV cameras, which clearly show the e-rickshaw crashing into the victims and speeding away immediately after the collision.
Both injured individuals were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, their current condition has not been officially confirmed.
Police have launched a search operation to trace the accused driver. Officials said that CCTV footage from the area is being closely examined to identify the vehicle and track down the suspect.
Authorities have assured that strict action will be taken once the accused is apprehended.
