When Did Islam Emerge?
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Dear brothers, sisters, elders, and respected viewers. Welcome once again to our channel where we explore the remarkable and meaningful events of Islamic history. In this special series, we bring to you hidden, surprising, and thought-provoking questions that help us understand Islam from a deeper and more meaningful perspective. In today’s episode, we will explore an important and interesting question. When did Islam emerge? At first glance, many people believe that Islam began during the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him in the 7th century. They consider it a religion that started at a specific point in history, just like many other belief systems. However, when we look deeper into Islamic teachings, we discover that the reality is much broader and more meaningful. Islam, in its true sense, did not suddenly appear at one moment in history. The word Islam means submission to the will of Allah, and this concept has existed since the very beginning of human life on earth. Prophet Musa guided his people with divine commandments. Prophet Isa called people back to truth and sincerity. Peace be upon them all. All of these prophets followed the same path of submission to Allah, which is the very meaning of Islam. This shows that Islam, as a way of life, has always existed, even if the word itself was revealed later in a clear and final form. So when we ask when Islam emerged, the answer depends on how we understand the question. If we are asking about the complete and final form of Islam as a religion for all humanity, then it emerged during the time of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. At the age of forty, the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him received the first revelation in the cave of Hira. This marked the beginning of his prophethood and the formal start of the final message of Islam. Over the next twenty three years, the Quran was revealed, guiding people step by step toward a complete way of life. During this period, Islam was not only a belief but also became a complete system that
