DOST turns over mobile command vehicle to Muntinlupa to boost disaster response
The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) on April 17, 2026 turns over the Mobile Command and Control Vehicle with Triage Technology (MoCCoV) to the city government of Muntinlupa, which aims to improve the city’s disaster response. The fully equipped mobile incident command center is designed to address threats and emergencies, including natural disasters and large-scale events. Beyond disaster response, MoCCoV can also be utilized to monitor crowds and ensure public safety during major gatherings. During the event, Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum, Jr. said the MoCCCoV would work alongside its recently launched Handa Integrated Platform for Preparedness Response (HANDA) platform, a centralized website that provides real-time hazard monitoring.
