During the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Kamal Haasan arrived at a polling station located at a school in Alwarpet, Chennai, along with his daughter Shruti Haasan to cast their votes. Kamal Haasan, who is the chief of Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM), urged people after voting to actively participate in the elections and make proper use of their voting rights. तमिलनाडु विधानसभा चुनाव के दौरान कमल हासन अपनी बेटी श्रुति हासन के साथ चेन्नई के अलवरपेट स्थित एक स्कूल में मतदान करने पहुंचे। दोनों ने शांतिपूर्वक मतदान केंद्र पर पहुंचकर अपने मताधिकार का उपयोग किया और लोकतंत्र के इस महत्वपूर्ण प्रक्रिया में भाग लिया। इस दौरान सुरक्षा के पुख्ता इंतजाम किए गए थे और मतदान केंद्र के बाहर लोगों की अच्छी-खासी भीड़ भी देखी गई। कमल हासन, जो मक्कल नीधि मय्यम (MNM) के प्रमुख हैं, ने मतदान के बाद लोगों से अपील की कि वे भी बढ़-चढ़कर मतदान में हिस्सा लें और अपने अधिकार का सही इस्तेमाल करें। श्रुति हासन भी अपने पिता के साथ इस लोकतांत्रिक कर्तव्य को निभाते हुए नजर आईं, जिससे युवाओं को भी प्रेरणा मिलती है कि वे चुनाव प्रक्रिया में सक्रिय भागीदारी करें।
