दिल्ली के Indira Gandhi International Airport पर रविवार सुबह एक बड़ा विमान हादसा टल गया जब SWISS की फ्लाइट LX147 के इंजन में टेकऑफ के दौरान अचानक खराबी आ गई।
टेकऑफ रोल के दौरान इंजन में आग लग गई, जिसके बाद पायलट ने तुरंत विमान को रोक दिया।इस फ्लाइट में कुल 232 यात्री सवार थे, जिनमें 4 शिशु भी शामिल थे।इमरजेंसी के तहत सभी यात्रियों और क्रू को स्लाइड्स के जरिए सुरक्षित बाहर निकाला गया।इस दौरान अफरा-तफरी में 4 यात्री और 1 क्रू मेंबर घायल हो गए, जिन्हें इलाज के लिए अस्पताल भेजा गया।विमान करीब 104 नॉट्स की स्पीड पर था जब यह तकनीकी खराबी सामने आई।घटना के बाद रनवे को अस्थायी रूप से बंद कर दिया गया।एयरलाइन ने इस घटना की जांच के लिए अपनी तकनीकी टीम को दिल्ली भेजने का फैसला लिया है।
SWISS ने यात्रियों के लिए होटल और रीबुकिंग की व्यवस्था भी शुरू कर दी है।
A major aviation scare was averted at Indira Gandhi International Airport early Sunday when a SWISS flight LX147 suffered an engine failure during takeoff.
The aircraft’s engine caught fire while accelerating on the runway, forcing the pilots to abort the takeoff immediately.The Airbus A330 was carrying 232 passengers, including four infants, along with crew members.An emergency evacuation was carried out using slides, ensuring all passengers were safely evacuated.During the evacuation, four passengers and one crew member sustained injuries and were taken for medical treatment.The aircraft had reached a speed of around 104 knotsbefore the takeoff was rejected.The runway was temporarily closed following the incident.SWISS Airlines has initiated an investigation and is sending technical experts to Delhi.
The airline is also arranging rebooking and accommodation for affected passengers.
