This incident is part of an ongoing series of severe weather events affecting the Central US, following an EF4 tornado in Enid, Oklahoma, and an outbreak of 80 tornadoes across seven states earlier this month. The Storm Prediction Center has indicated that the conditions fostering these occurrences continue to persist.
