An enormous wildfire crisis is unfolding in southern Georgia, prompting Governor Kemp to announce a State of Emergency that encompasses 91 counties. The Brantley County wildfire has surpassed 31 square miles and is currently less than 20 percent under control. Federal Fire Management Assistance has been granted for both Georgia and Florida, where the Railroad Complex Fire is also raging, resulting in a significant wildfire threat throughout the southeastern United States.
