the Cartwrights come to the aid of a Chinese-American stable hand named Jimmy Chang (played by Guy Lee) who is accused of murder and terrorized by a manipulative mayoral candidate's henchmen. The candidate uses racial bigotry to stir up trouble against minority groups in Virginia City to further his campaign.
