The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced revolutionary changes to smart meter regulations to provide relief to electricity consumers. Under the new policy, power supply will not be disconnected for 30 days even with a negative balance for 1kW connections. Additionally, power cuts are strictly prohibited during nights (6 PM to 8 AM), Sundays, and public holidays, ensuring a hassle-free experience for UP citizens.
