Senators Janelle John-Bates and Faris Al Rawi have been referred to the Privileges Committee of Parliament.
This action was still taken despite Senator John-Bates apologizing to the Senate at the start of Friday's meeting and informing the upper house that she had offered her resignation to the PNM's Political Leader.
It all concerns their conduct in the vetting of a witness statement from former Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh to the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee.
