King Charles opens Bermuda coast guard station, launches UK space debris project
Britain's King Charles on Saturday inaugurated the Great Bay Coast Guard Station and launched "Project Nova" on the final day of his visit to Bermuda. The monarch unveiled a plaque to mark the opening of the Coast Guard facility, which incorporates technology such as unmanned underwater and aerial vehicles, and met participants from the Junior Leader program. King Charles also awarded Operational Service Medals to five regiment members for their contributions to the island's security. Later, he toured the site of a planned observatory under the UK Space Agency, where he reviewed plans for "Project Nova," a global telescope initiative focused on tracking space debris and advancing sustainability efforts.
