In the exit polls for the 2026 Kerala Assembly elections, indications suggest a possible victory for the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF), sparking heightened political activity in the state. Meanwhile, discussions and questions have emerged within the Congress party regarding the possibility of K. C. Venugopal being made the Chief Minister. Party leader Tariq Anwar clarified that the selection of the Chief Minister will follow the party’s established process. He stated that the final decision will be taken by the party high command after a meeting of the विधायक दल (legislature party), appointment of an observer, and consensus among members. At the same time, the Election Commission of India announced that all preparations related to the vote counting for the April 9 polling have been completed. Counting will begin at 8 AM on May 4 across 140 centers, with thousands of personnel deployed for the process.
केरल विधानसभा चुनाव 2026 के एग्जिट पोल में कांग्रेस नीत United Democratic Front (UDF) की संभावित जीत के संकेत मिल रहे हैं, जिससे राज्य की राजनीति में हलचल तेज हो गई है। इसी बीच KC Venugopal को मुख्यमंत्री बनाए जाने को लेकर कांग्रेस के भीतर चर्चा और सवाल उठने लगे हैं। पार्टी नेता Tariq Anwar ने स्पष्ट किया कि मुख्यमंत्री का चयन पार्टी आलाकमान द्वारा तय प्रक्रिया के अनुसार ही होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि विधायक दल की बैठक, पर्यवेक्षक की नियुक्ति और सहमति बनने के बाद अंतिम निर्णय आलाकमान लेगा। वहीं Election Commission of India ने बताया कि 9 अप्रैल को हुए मतदान की सभी तैयारियां पूरी हो चुकी हैं और 4 मई को सुबह 8 बजे से 140 केंद्रों पर मतगणना शुरू होगी, जिसमें हजारों कर्मचारी तैनात रहेंगे।
