The Met unveils 'Costume Art' exhibit ahead of annual gala

The Met unveils a new exhibit titled "Costume Art" at the museum's Costume Institute ahead of its annual gala. "When you walk around the museum, the only art form that connects every single collecting area across the museum, every gallery across the museum, is a dressed body," says Andrew Bolton, curator for the Costume Institute at the Met. "So I think I would love people to look at the centrality of the dressed body within the museum, but also the centrality to fashion, to art and culture more broadly."
