PH eyes Asean Power Grid initiative to boost regional energy security
Trade and Industry (DTI) Undersecretary Allan Gepty underscores the importance of the Asean Power Grid initiative as a key priority in strengthening regional energy security and economic resilience during a briefing in Cebu ahead of the 48th Asean Summit. In a press conference on May 5, 2026, Gepty stressed the need for stronger coordination in energy security, food supply, logistics, and supply chain resilience amid global challenges, noting that no country can address these pressures alone.
