Check out this magical moment as a young woman finally ticks a major item off her bucket list, leaving her overwhelmed with emotion.
Ashlyn Whitaker made her lifelong wish come true after she witnessed fireflies in action with her own eyes.
In the touching video, Ashlyn is seen coming out of a house and into a backyard, barely able to contain her excitement. Having spent years imagining what the moment would be like, she admits to the camera with a laugh: “I’ve built this up to be so much in my mind!”
However, the real life experience did not disappoint. As soon as the tiny bugs began to light up in the sky, Ashlyn began jumping for joy. The moment became even more special when one of her friends gently caught a firefly to show her up close, prompting a tearful Ashlyn to exclaim: “I’m so happy!”
Ashlyn said: “Seeing a real life firefly has been on my bucket list my entire life!”
“I had romanticized the moment so many times in my head, and it did not disappoint. Next up, seeing orcas!”
