A nightclub in Melbourne’s inner west is fighting for survival because of the sky-rocketing cost of public liability insurance. Its insurance fees rose by more than 100-thousand dollars over four years, a problem facing many similar venues. With a federal parliamentary inquiry now examining issues related to small business insurance, the venue is calling for reform so that its doors can remain open.
