Watch as a clever homemade setup transforms an ordinary electric fan into a mosquito-catching machine.
The unusual demonstration was captured in Guangdong Province, southern China.
The video shows a purple mosquito lamp positioned behind a standing fan fitted with gauze netting across the front.
As mosquitoes are attracted toward the light, the airflow from the fan pulls them directly into the mesh.
Within moments, large numbers of insects can be seen trapped across the surface of the gauze.
