The European Union says it does not believe now is the time to ease pressure on Russia. EU Economy Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis made the comments at a G7 meeting after the United States announced an extension of a sanctions waiver allowing “energy-vulnerable” countries affected by the Iran war to buy Russian oil.
