Robredo envisions Naga as pilot city in health initiatives
Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo hopes to lead by making the city a model for other local government units (LGUs) across the country to follow in addressing public health gaps. In an interview with _The Manila Times_ on May 20, 2026, Robredo said she hoped that the city can spearhead innovative programs and provide a 'proof of concept' that could be replicated by other LGUs nationwide. She noted that implementing programs on a national scale can be difficult without successful local examples to demonstrate that initiatives are feasible and effective.
