Tokyo Electron Taiwan will not appeal a Taiwanese court ruling in a trade secrets case involving TSMC. A Taiwan court fined the Japanese company’s Taiwan branch nearly US$5 million in April. It also sentenced five people to up to 10 years in prison for stealing trade secrets linked to TSMC's semiconductor technology.
